This is a very well kept family campground. It doesn't have everything, but everything it has is excellent. This is an example of a campground where the details are taken care of. Directional signage is very clear and well maintained, both leading to the gate and within the park. The gravel roads are well mainained. The trees are trimmed back from the roads. The gravel sites are level. Each site has its own power post and water tap (they aren't shared). The location is very convenient to attractions in the Tobermory area. The sites are wooded and private.

We camped in the Colborne section of the campground. It was quiet even though it was a long weekend. The sites are nicely spaced with trees for privacy from your neighbours, but sites may be located directly across the road. The park is clean and well maintained. The beach is large and sandy. There are concerts and dances held in a renovated barn on site.

The campground is conveniently close to Grand Rapids. The campground roads are very rough and in poor condition. There is limited parking at the check-in area. The "lake" is actually a pond, and while there is a small beach area the water is not what we consider suitable for swimming in. There is free Wi-fi and it worked well. The owners escort you to your site and give you directions while you back in. The owners are friendly and helpful.

Most sites are seasonal. There are only a few overnight sites. Good facilities. There are two swimming pools with lifeguard and the swimming pools are well maintained. Many organized activities for children and adults. Quiet hours are strictly enforced. The entrance road has a narrow one-lane bridge barely wide enough for a trailer. Roads are rough, narrow and winding, and tree branches are poorly trimmed in many areas. The access road to the Buffalo section of the campground is very overgrown with trees.

MacGregor Point Provincial Park has nice large, treed sites. The sites are spaced well apart. We camped in site 334 and our friends camped in site 335. These sites are intended for two families camping together. They are connected sites, but still a good size. There are excellent bike trails at this Provincial Park.
